（The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Future Energy Systems）

人工智能（AI）作为一种智能系统技术，在当今工业和社会中发挥着越来越重要的作用。智能电网此类的未来的能源系统（FES）可智能整合所有消费者的需求，以有效地实现可持续、经济和安全的发电和使用。AI的最新进展为FES提供了强大的背景支持，以应对深层控制、多交叉连接、嵌入式发电、智能计量和信息传输的需求。另一方面，FES给AI带来了巨大的技术挑战。本报告将首先讨论AI和FES的最新发展，然后研究与它们之间协同作用相关的新兴问题，以展示这两个领域的最佳效果。报告还将涉及现有AI典例外的潜在新思维范例，以处理这些系统产生的复杂性，推测未来受自然启发的创新方法。

Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an enabling intelligent systems technology is playing a more and more important role in today’s industry and society. Future Energy Systems (FES), such as the smart grids, will intelligently integrate the actions of all prosumers to efficiently enable sustainable, economic and secure electricity generation and use. The recent advances in AI have provided a powerful platform methodology for FES to deal with demands for deeper control, increased cross connectivity, embedded generation, smart metering and information transmission. On the other hand, FES present enormous technical challenges for AI to address.

In this talk, we will first discuss recent developments in both AI and FES, and then examine emerging issues associated with synergetic interplay between them to bring out the best of both fields. We will also touch on potential new thinking paradigms beyond the current AI paradigms to deal with complexity arising from these systems, speculating innovative methodologies inspired by the Nature for the future.
