LIM (linear induction motor) experimental platform

Based on the optimized electromagnetic scheme of traction system for high-power linear induction motor in urban rail transit, the research team designed and tested a single-sided 3kW (6kW bilateral) LIM drive system test platform with the help of two four-quadrant frequency converters to simulate Electric, braking, energy feedback and other different conditions. Besides, prototype constant voltage and constant current constant frequency characteristics of the experiment and parameter measurement experiments was completed.

At the same time, based on the field coupled with circuit modeling theory, we set up a LIM traction system control platform to study how to set the relevant parameters of LIM, converter, controller and load. Taking LIM as the core, we study the influence of external excitation and internal parameter variation on LIM performance, and correlate the motor equivalent T-circuit and d-q motion model.

The LIM drive consists of two four-quadrant frequency converters, which are connected to each other. One of the inverters controls two LIMs separately. The other inverter is connected to the grid through inductors and supplies power to the entire system through PWM rectification. The other side controls the load permanent magnet synchronous motor. By PWM rectification, the system's DC link voltage can be increased, so permanent magnet synchronous motors can operate over a large range. In addition, since the DC bus of the two frequency converters are connected to each other, the energy feedback of the load permanent magnet synchronous motor can be realized, which is favorable for reducing the power consumption of the experiment. The designed LIM experimental platform motor drive has the following features and functions:

1) Has the ability of four-quadrant operation. You can control the motor in motor or generate operation and can also control the motor rotate forward and reverse;

2) Complete and reliable over-current protection and inverter over-temperature protection.
